Gilbert Garcia

Gilbert is a native from McAllen, Texas.

He attended Valley View High School under the direction of his father Gilberto Garcia Sr and received private lessons from Robert Botello. With their guidance, he became a 4-year TMEA All-State Recipient and a 3 year UIL Outstanding Soloist. 

His performance experience includes marching with the Bluecoats, Monarch Independent, and Spirit of Atlanta. 

He serves as a battery instructor for Spirit of Atlanta and is the assistant director of the Valley Percussion Festival, an event celebrating over 30 years taking place annually for the Rio Grande Valley percussion community.
