Gilbert Garcia

Gilbert Garcia is a native of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. He currently serves as Percussion Director in La Joya High School in La Joya, Texas.

His students have achieved  multiple  accolades & accomplishments under his direction. He has had students make the  Texas  All State Band in ATSSB & TMEA  consistently for the past 11 years including several 1st, 2nd, & 3rd chairs.
He currently teaches 6th through 12th  grade in La Joya ISD.

He is the director for Valley Percussion Festival, a percussion education event in South Texas that has been in existence for 36 years. He also hosts many educational live streams with elite world class educators & artists through the Valley Percussion Festival Facebook page.

In his free time he enjoys running & reading.
